We at Hensley Beverage Company are proud to join Anheuser-Busch and consumers across America in their efforts to save millions of gallons of water for World Environment Day; this year on Friday, June 5. The Anheuser-Busch team is committed to brewing the highest quality beers, improving environmental performance, and making a positive impact on communities. They focus efforts both inside and outside the brewery on the key issues of water, energy, and recycling. As an Anheuser-Busch wholesaler, we at Hensley have teamed up to make great progress with this initiative and will continually strive to do more.

Water is a key ingredient in beer and vital to life on the planet which is why we are all very committed to making a better America by conserving and preserving this precious resource. Each year, employees and consumers volunteer in cities across the country to improve watersheds by cleaning up rivers, lakes and beaches, planting trees, removing invasive species and more. Over the last 10 years, A-B breweries and wholesalers have reduced water by 45%. This year, employees are pledging once again to save more than one million gallons of water in 10 days through simple actions at home.

Hensley employees will participate in their pledges to save water from May 25-June 5. Some of the simple ways to get involved over the next week is to skip shaving, turn off the water while brushing your teeth and/or washing your face, as well as to take shorter showers. The average shave uses 3-10 gallons of water, so nearly 5 gallons of water could be saved for each skipped shave leading up to World Environment Day. Take the pledge with us and help celebrate World Environment Day 2015. Cheers!
