Devoured Culinary Classic is “an independently edible and award-winning culinary event.” The goal of the Devoured Culinary Classic is to showcase celebrity culinary talent, the fine food and drink producers and purveyors of Arizona while furthering metro Phoenix as a dining destination worthy of international prestige. Phoenix New Times named the event “The Best Culinary Event” in 2012, 2013, and 2014 and stated that it was quickly becoming one of the most anticipated food events of the year. Additionally, the Arizona Republic named the Devoured Culinary Classic as the “Best Food Event” in 2012 and “Best Dining Festival” in 2014.

Local First Arizona seeks to promote, support, and celebrate a vibrant and sustainable Arizona economy by educating citizens about local business ownership, social equity, cultural diversity, environmental kinship, and collaboration. Devour Phoenix is an initiative of Local First Arizona, and both are hosts of the Devoured Culinary Classic. There are four days of events during the Devoured Culinary Classic: Devour Phoenix Bartending Competition, Palette to Palate, and the 2-day Devoured Culinary Classic to be held tomorrow; Saturday, March 7 and Sunday, March 8, 2015.

All in all, the Devoured Culinary Classic will feature culinary curators and purveyors who support the Arizona food, wine and restaurant industries. Attendees will have the chance to partake in innovative culinary demonstrations, meet top chefs and restaurateurs as well as taste an enormous array of culinary excellence from the region’s best chefs, restaurants, local food artisans, brewers, and vintners. The Devoured Culinary Classic is founded on the idea that food and drinks bring people together.
