On Tuesday, June 2, 2015, Hensley Beverage Company hosted its biannual blood drive in the Clydesdale Room at the Arizona Corporate Headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona. A total of 51 employees volunteered to give blood, providing United Blood Services (UBS) with much-needed donations as the center particularly struggles in the summer months to get enough blood to fill the need in Arizona hospitals. Through those donations, UBS is able to help trauma patients, leukemia patients, burn victims and others.
Hensley Beverage Company partners with UBS to host two blood drives annually, each held at the Corporate Headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona. In addition to the generous and brave employees who faced the needle to give blood, Hensley also provides United Blood Services the Phoenix facility as a temporary remote donation location for community members that have an interest in giving.
Hensley’s blood drive coordinator, Ellyn Burczyk, states, “It’s an honor to be part of an organization like Hensley that truly cares and gives back to the community. The management team really supports employees with their community-based efforts and I’d like to thank each and every person for selflessly contributing and making our drive so successful.”
