Dos Cabezas Wine Works has been producing wines in AZ since 1995. Founded by AZ wine pioneer Al Buhl, the winery was originally located on the historic 80-acre Dos Cabezas Vineyard near Wilcox, AZ. Acclaimed AZ winemaker, Kent Callaghan, was the original winemaker for Dos Cabezas crafting wines that immediately attracted national attention. Todd Bostock began working at Dos Cabezas as an assistant to then winemaker Frank DiCristofano after the harvest of 2002. After a short apprenticeship with DiCristofano, Todd took over as winemaker for the 2003 vintage. Just after the harvest of 2006, Todd purchased the winery with the help of his wife, Kelly, and parents Frank & Paula. The winery moved to Sonoita AZ, close to the Pronghorn Vineyard the family planted in Elgin the spring of 2004. A tasting room was opened in 2006 at the new winery location in the heart of Sonoita. Most recently, furthering a great collaboration between Dos Cabezas WineWorks & Oregon pioneer Dick Erath, the Bostocks purchased Erath’s Cimarron Vineyard near Wilcox, AZ.
